Aurélio Amado is a Partner in the auditing practice, responsible for the Financial Services area.
Partner / engagement leader responsible for auditing various entities, among others: Banco Group Santander Totta, Crédito Agricola Group, Santander Consumer, Banco BIG, Itaú BBA Group, National Bank of Angola, Banco Millennium Angola, Standard Bank Angola, International Bank of São Tomé and Príncipe and Banco Millennium Mozambique.
Global coordinator of an Asset Quality Review (AQR) project carried out in 2014, at the request of the ECB within the scope of the single banking supervision mechanism, to one of the large Portuguese banking groups. Coordinator of several consultative projects including the special inspections program (SIP), carried out in 2011, inspections program to assess risks related to the real estate construction sectors (OIP), carried out in 2012, and transversal exercise to review the impairment of the portfolio of credit (ETRICC), carried out in 2013, projects carried out in the largest Portuguese banking groups and requested by the Portuguese authorities and institutional authorities (ECB, IMF and EC).
Participated in advisory projects to several financial institutions, namely in the implementation of IFRS (impairment models, etc.), financial due diligence (Portugal, Romania and Angola), subsidized mortgage loan project, technical training.
Participated in the executive committee of PwC Portugal between July 2015 and June 2019, having assumed the role of vice-president of PwC Portugal and was responsible for managing the firm's Financial Services business area, coordinating the Angolan operation and the management of internal areas of IT and operations.
Participation in several international training courses offered by PwC and external entities in matters of risk management, auditing, IFRS and US GAAP, information systems and taxation.
