Francisco Sousa Coutinho is a Legal Director at PwC Portugal and Head of the Real Estate Practice Area. He develops his activity with focus on real estate transactions and development projects.

Francisco Sousa Coutinho provides legal assistance, notably, in due diligences, real estate sale and purchase transactions and any other rights created over the same, mortgage transactions, drafting, negotiation and execution of lease agreements (urban and rural), use of shop agreements, works agreements (new construction and deep renovation works) and other services agreements related to the construction and real estate brokerage sectors.

Francisco also provides legal assistance in issues regarding horizontal property and condominium regimes, having also significant experience in the areas of hospitality, leisure and retail parks.

Professional background

Before joining PwC’s Legal services (previously CCR Legal), from 2013 to 2019 worked in the Real Estate Department of Vieira de Almeida, last position as Managing Associate.

On 2012 worked as Lawyer at Teixeira Duarte (one of the top 5 construction companies in Portugal), in the distribution sector and as legal advisor of a shopping centre.

Between 2006 and 2012 worked in the Real Estate Department of Garrigues.

From 2003 to 2005 worked as Trainee Lawyer at the law firm Henrique Abecasis & Adresen Guimarães, Associados.
