In the Tax Reporting & Strategy (TRS) department at PwC Portugal, João Banza is responsible for the industries Financial Services (Banking, Insurance, Asset Management & Real Estate), Hospitality & Leisure, and Government & Public Services in Portugal.

Additionally, he is responsible for this business unit in Cape Verde, as well as for Payroll services in four territories (Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, and Cape Verde).

With over 25 years of experience, João has a vast professional background in national and multinational companies, leading projects in financial, accounting, tax, internal control, management planning and control, payroll, treasury management, mergers and acquisitions, support for the implementation of information systems, optimization and migration of financial, tax and administrative processes, fixed assets management, and financing projects.

He is a member of the Certified Accountants Chamber in Portugal and author of several articles on accounting, tax and human resources matters.
