Partner responsible for PwC Portugal Regulatory, Risk Management and Independence functions.
18 years of audit experience, including national and multinational entities, including some of the most relevant listed entities in Portugal.
High experience in coordinating audit work of multinational groups, involving several offices of the PwC network.
Extensive experience in consolidation and financial reporting in important Portuguese economic groups according to national regulations (“SNC”) and international accounting and financial reporting standards (“IFRS”), having participated as a trainer in several external training actions on these matters.
In the current management functions, she has also assumed the responsibilities of personnel management, financial management and contact management, combined with the responsibility for coordinating the annual execution of quality control carried out internally by PwC Portugal (including national territory, Cape Verde and Angola) related to audit work and other assurance services, within the scope of the International Quality Control Standard 1 (“ISQC1”).
Engagement in international quality control processes, carried out by PwC Member Firms, namely in Spain and Brazil.
As Risk Management & Independence Partner, Rita supports the company in defining risk management policies, assessing potential threats to independence and implementing the necessary safeguards to ensure compliance with Network PwC's risk management policies and applicable legislation.
In the Regulatory area, Rita ensures compliance with the rules and regulations applicable to PwC, articulating the firm's relationship with its regulators, as well as participating in forums relevant to the profession.
