Presidential Legislative Decree 1/24, of 3 January 2024, published in the Official Gazette, approves the new Customs Tariff for Import and Export Rights and revokes Presidential Legislative Decree 10/19, of 29 November 2019.
The new Customs Tariff corresponds to the 2022 version of the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System Nomenclature and introduces new codes to the previous 2017 version.
The new agenda also presents a set of changes to import duties, which translate the legislator's intention into promoting, encouraging and protecting national production.
For example:
Increase in import duties on milk from 10% to 40$; and
Implementation of import duties on rice at a rate of 20%.
The diploma will enter into force 90 days after publication.
